This was announced by the Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.

He said that in 6 regions of Ukraine thermal and hydroelectric generation facilities and high-voltage infrastructure were damaged. As a result, emergency power outages were introduced in many regions.

According to the Energy Minister, the most difficult situation is currently in 3 regions - Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Kherson.

"Thanks to the successful work of air defense and early technical measures, we managed to preserve the integrity of the Ukrainian power system," Halushchenko said and added that power engineers are now actively working to restore power supply.

This was reported by Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s state power company.

"The 14th massive terrorist missile attack on the Ukrainian power system continues. Unfortunately, several high-voltage infrastructure facilities have been damaged in the eastern and western, southern regions, which led to power outages in some areas," the statement said.

In addition, Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with drones and missiles at night, targeting power plants and transmission system facilities. Therefore, to minimize the possible consequences of the attack and preserve the power system, Ukrenergo is taking the necessary preventive measures, and emergency shutdowns are being applied.

In the morning, DTEK informed that due to the threat of a missile attack on February 10, emergency blackouts were introduced in Kyiv city, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"This is a forced preventive step to avoid significant damage to the energy infrastructure if enemy missiles reach their target," DTEK said.

The head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration commented that stabilization blackouts will be applied in the region.

"Power engineers are keeping the situation under control and taking measures to secure the power system," he wrote.
