He said this on Espreso TV.
“Ukraine's Armed Forces have reached positions that provide an opportunity to conduct offensive operations in the Kherson region in the future. At the tactical level, the Russian enemy is trying to attack our positions. The enemy still has the resources to hold the defense and move forward,” Kostenko noted.
According to him, Russian forces are not leaving the right-bank bridgehead in the Kherson region.
“Russian troops are regrouping and may try to capture advantageous positions for themselves. According to various estimates, the Russian forces have up to 30,000 personnel at the Kherson bridgehead. Heavy battles are ahead for the liberation of Ukrainian territories,” Kostenko added.
