Russian forces cut off mobile communications after declaring fight against partisan movement
Russian forces have begun to cut off mobile communications in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, presumably in a bid to combat the partisan movement
The Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported this.
“Nine days ago, having declared the fight against the guerrilla movement, the Russian invaders in the Luhansk region cut off the mobile Internet service of a local operator. However, many residents of the region began to lose this service a few days before the announced date,” the press service emphasized.
On February 19, mobile communications were cut off in part of the region. Occupying Russian forces justify the lack of communication by an accident on the main lines. The regional administration emphasizes that civilians are being deceived, because after analyzing the areas of disconnection where coverage was lost, the 'accident' occurred simultaneously in several places.
“Now there is no communication not only with the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government, but also between neighboring seized towns,” the message says.
At the same time, the occupation authorities are pressuring men in the region with a 'database of personal data of conscripts evading mobilization', allegedly compiled by 'district police officers and active citizens' in the Luhansk region.
Due to the large number of wounded Russian soldiers, they are urgently recruiting medics. They do not say how many are needed. They promise to pay them more than the stormtroopers.
