Nataliya Humenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, stated this on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon.
According to her, Russian forces are trying to set up new transport arteries in the Kherson region. They pull up barges, pontoons, try to establish ferry crossings there.
"But the fire control under which we keep this area also extends to these objects. Therefore, after they are set up, they will definitely be damaged, that's for sure," Humenyuk said.
To the question of whether there are examples of the destruction of pontoon crossings by the Ukrainian military, she answered that "at the moment it is a surprise."
