Russian forces advance in 4 directions, AFU repel attacks on 10 settlements - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on the morning of January 30.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. About 20 bodies of killed soldiers from the districts of Novobakhmutivka and Maiorsk were brought to one of the local morgues in Horlivka, Donetsk region, only on January 28.

During the day, on January 29, Ukrainian aviation struck the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complex and 2 military positions. 

In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' missile forces and artillery hit 2 radar stations, a munitions depot, as well as one other important enemy target. 

Also, units of the Defense Forces repelled the Russian troops' attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, and Ozarianivka, Donetsk region.

Russia launched an airstrike and 3 missile strikes on Ukraine during the day

During the past day, the Russian enemy launched an airstrike, 3 missile strikes and 44 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems, killing and injuring civilians. 

The threat of Russian attacks throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.

Invading Russian troops are advancing in 4 directions

Russian forces are conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions. In other directions, they lead the defense.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and enemy offensive groups have not been detected.

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with artillery and mortars: 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 3 more in the Sumy region, as well as 14 villages and cities in the Kharkiv region were shelled. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupyansk direction, the areas of 12 settlements were shelled.

In the Lyman direction, 5 settlements in the Luhansk region and 2 more in the Donetsk region were damaged by fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, 8 settlements of the Donetsk region were affected by fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, 7 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Vuhledar direction, 4 settlements of the Donetsk region were shelled.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the areas of more than 15 cities and villages were affected by enemy artillery fire. 

In the Kherson direction, the invading Russian forces shelled the suburbs and the city of Kherson. There are casualties among civilians.
