Russian fakes on January 17: “Zelenskyy’s nose in Milan” and “NATO members’ hybrid aggression against Russia”
Center for Combating Disinformation published a selection of fakes produced by Russia on January 17.
Espreso reports.
According to CCD at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on January 17, Russians launched three major deceptions.
Fake: Russian mass media reported that "installation in the form of the human nose was installed in Milan, to which a path of white powder leads, allegedly dedicated to V. Zelenskyy."
Such installation does exist, but it is dedicated to the fight against drug trafficking and has nothing to do with the President of Ukraine.
Disinformation: Envoy of Russian Federation to the OSCE A. Lukashevich stated: "We are forced to warn against intentions to subjugate work of OSCE [only] to the situation in Ukraine <...> In the conditions of systematic lies of the West, Russian Federation will continue active protection against hybrid aggression carried out by several NATO member countries ... regarding foundations of statehood and sovereignty of Russia".
Manipulation: Russian Ambassador to Germany S. Nechaev stated: "Germany's official doctrine is to provide maximum assistance to Kyiv regime. Supply of German weapons, which are used to kill Russian servicemen and civilian population of Donbas, awakens obvious historical parallels."
