Another threat appeared on his English-language X page on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Medvedev, in particular, dislikes that Russia is receiving ultimatums in the negotiations.
“All enemies of Russia that issue negotiating ultimatums should remember a simple thing: peace negotiations alone do not always lead to the end of hostilities,” he stated.
According to the Russian ex-president and, analysts say, one of the most likely candidates to succeed Putin, “unsuccessful negotiations can lead to the onset of a more terrible stage of the war with new weapons and participants.”
- Before this, Medvedev sharply reacted to the coalition of the willing meeting held on May 10 in Kyiv.
