On the evening of September 1, Russian drones hit Ukraine: one person was killed in Bila Tserkva, and several, including children, were injured in Sumy

Bila Tserkva

According to the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, one person was killed in Bila Tserkva as a result of a Russian attack.

“The man's body was found during the extinguishing of a fire in a garage cooperative. Our condolences to his family and friends,” he wrote.

The city also suffered damage to the windows of high-rise buildings, and fires broke out in the garage cooperative, commercial premises, and manufacturing facilities.

Later, the State Emergency Service clarified that the attack had resulted in the destruction and ignition of hangars and a three-story building belonging to the enterprise. The fires have been extinguished.

At another location, rescuers extinguished fires in three buildings and private garages.

Sumy 

According to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Russian forces targeted a non-residential building in the Zarichnyi district of Sumy. He initially reported no casualties.

However, acting mayor Artem Kobzar later clarified that there were victims of the attack. The Sumy City Council stated that a shopping arcade was destroyed, with several people, including a child, receiving outpatient medical care.

The strike also damaged four residential buildings and shattered about 50 windows. The fire caused by the attack has been extinguished, while emergency services continue to address the aftermath.
