Russian disinfo review: 'Donetsk region to become Russian Federation republic', fabricated Ukrainian Armed Forces' report
Fake stories and disinfo that Russian propagandists are spreading on July 13: Center for Countering Disinformation has published its latest selection of Russian disinfo.
The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security Council shared a review in its Telegram channel.
Among the new Russian disinfo is the statement of the Russian representative that the Donetsk region should become part of the Russian Federation, because it "has its own flag and anthem."
"Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" of the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, N. Nikonorova, said: "(the territory of the Donetsk region) will become part of the Russian Federation as a republic... because we have our own flag and anthem, these symbols are being fought for... today," the Center reported.
In addition, on July 13, Russian propagandists spread a fake story about the alleged shooting of a private for disobeying an order.
"Fake: the propagandists of the Russian Federation reported that "a report of the commander of the Karpatska Sich battalion was found in Rubizhne regarding the shooting of a private for disobeying an order," the Center points out.
"However, given the large number of errors and Russianisms in the text of the 'report', we can come to the conclusion that the 'document' itself is fabricated, and the information in it does not correspond to reality," the Center for Combating Disinformation comments.
Another manipulation: Russia reports that the US military analyst Ritter allegedly said: "The Russian military is one of the best in the world, and the US does not have an army that can wage a full-scale war in Europe... if Biden leads the country into a collision with the Russians, the American army will lose, because the troops of the Russian Federation are ready not only to fight, but also to win."
