Russian diplomat expelled from Estonia for undermining security and constitutional order
The Estonian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the Russian Embassy and handed him a note declaring the Russian diplomat persona non grata
Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported the information.
On March 24, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the Russian Embassy and handed him a note: an employee with diplomatic status of the Russian Embassy was declared persona non grata.
"The activities of the person in question have violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and they have to leave Estonia by 29 March. The diplomat in question has been engaged in directly and actively undermining Estonia’s security and constitutional order, spreading propaganda that justifies Russia’s military action and causing divisions in Estonian society," the ministry said.
