Russian Defense Ministry admits that occupying Russian forces have withdrawn from Lyman
Russia's Ministry of Defense has confirmed that occupying Russian forces have retreated from the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region due to the threat of encirclement

This is reported by the Russian mass media.
"In connection with the creation of an encirclement threat, the allied troops were withdrawn from the settlement of Chervony Liman (renamed to Lyman, - ed.) to more advantageous lines," the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claims.
Earlier, the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed that the Ukrainian military had entered Liman, but noted that fighting was going on in the city.
