Russian conscripts will be cannon fodder for Western weapons as Ukraine ramps up its campaign - Arestovych
In late May and early June, Ukraine will receive heavy weapons from the West, and is set to launch offensives to liberate its territories, said Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the Presidential chief of staff
He shared this opinion on air on Feygin LIVE.
"By the end of May, beginning of June, Western weapons will arrive in commercial quantities capable of changing the balance of forces and resources in a specific sector of the front, or maybe on two or three. I think that by mid-June we will have combat-ready units armed with Western weapons, ready to go on the offensive", Arestovych said.
He noted that fierce battles will take place in Ukraine in summer.
"The second half of June, or rather July, will see fierce fighting. The Ukrainian army will go on the offensive. The Russian army understands this, they will use the conscripts that they started drafting in April. These guys who have gone through one or two months of training exercises on rusty old equipment will simply be used as cannon fodder for Western weapons and Ukrainian forces", the adviser to the Ukrainian President’s chief of staff said.
