Russian attack on Ukraine kills one in Zhytomyr, injures three in Khmelnytskyi

Air defense operations in Kyiv and the region

At 11:27p.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported on air defense operations in the region.

At 12:09 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that air defense forces were operating in the capital against enemy drones.

At 3:23 a.m., air defense was activated in the Kyiv region.

Air defense operations in Lviv

At 2:34 a.m., Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, reported on air defense activity in Lviv.

At 2:42 a.m., Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi stated that explosions were heard in the city.

At 3:31 a.m., Kozytskyi again reported on air defense operations in the city.

Attack on Vinnytsia region

Nataliya Zabolotna, First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, reported the information.

“The Russian attack on the Vinnytsia region continues. Civilian industrial facilities have been hit. As of now, there are no reports of casualties,” she wrote at 6:50 a.m.

Later, she reported that the Vinnytsia region had suffered a massive combined Russian attack. Firefighters are currently containing a blaze at a civilian industrial facility. One person has been injured and is in hospital in stable condition.

About 30 residential houses in the region were damaged, with windows shattered, roofs damaged, and yards affected.

Attack on Zhytomyr region

Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko, reported that Russia attacked the region with drones and cruise missiles.

As a result of the strikes, one person was killed and another was injured. Several civilian enterprises and private houses were damaged.

Attack on Cherkasy region

Head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, reported that two Russian missiles and about a dozen drones were destroyed over the region.

There were no reports of casualties, but infrastructure damage was recorded:

• In Zolotonosha district, a barn was partially destroyed by the blast wave, killing two cows. The fire was extinguished. Windows and roofs of about five houses were also damaged, along with a car. 
• In Zvenyhorodka district, windows were blown out in five buildings (both residential and farm structures). In addition, a power line was damaged.

Attack on Khmelnytskyi region

Volochysk in Khmelnytskyi region came under Russian attack, according to the Volochysk City Council.

“Last night our community experienced difficult events. Strikes hit the storage facilities of industrial enterprises. Relevant services are currently working to eliminate the consequences. Unfortunately, three city residents were injured. There are no fatalities,” the statement said.

Attack on Volyn region

The State Emergency Service reported that overnight, SES units from Volyn and the local fire brigade in the village of Tsumany responded to the aftermath of a Russian strike.

In Lutsk district, a facility caught fire. Upon the firefighters’ arrival, the fire had spread over 1,000 sq.m. Firefighters worked for several hours and managed to extinguish the blaze by morning.

Attack on Odesa region

Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported that Russia attacked Izmail district with drones.

“Warehouse facilities and a farm building came under enemy fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries,” the statement said.
