Russian artillery losses in Zaporizhzhia region are five times higher than Ukrainian ones - WSJ

The Wall Street Journal reports.

"The Ukrainian army's stalled offensive has forced it to focus on fighting Russian artillery that is impeding the advance of infantry and mechanized units. Thanks to more accurate and effective Western artillery systems that use radar, as well as the use of reconnaissance drones, specialized Ukrainian units have managed to significantly undermine Russia's firepower advantage," the report said.

According to journalists, about 70% of Ukrainian combat losses are the result of artillery strikes. According to an independent group of analysts, WarSpotting, 177 Russian artillery units and multiple launch rocket systems have been destroyed since the Ukrainian army launched its counteroffensive in June.
