This was reported by Artem Lagutenko, a reporter for the Espreso TV channel, who is currently in Zaporizhzhia.

"Unfortunately, the information is not very comforting. The soldiers complain about the complete dominance of the Russian forces in the air, which complicates the Ukrainian counter-offensive. The fighters also deny information about the enemy's alleged artillery depletion," Lagutenko said.

The reporter noted that Russia has begun to modernize its drones, in particular, Lancets. Russian forces drop 5 to 10 guided aerial bombs daily in the frontline areas of Zaporizhzhia region.

"This is a terrible weapon, nothing can save you from these bombs, it is impossible to hide from them. That is why it is extremely important that Ukraine receives the long-awaited F16s," said Artem Lagutenko.

The military say that every 10 or 100 metres has to be fought very hard, so they have high hopes for Abrams tanks.

The correspondent of Espreso TV channel also visited the frontline town of Orikhiv. According to him, the town is almost completely destroyed.

There is no water, electricity, or gas supply. Due to the constant bombardment with aerial bombs, it is impossible to restore all this.

"As of now, almost 1,000 civilians live in the town. When the cold weather comes, it will be a serious problem. We probably need to think about evacuating these people now," Lagutenko concluded.

  • On September 23, the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, said that Ukrainian troops had broken through the Russian army's defenses near Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region.
  • On September 24, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled an enemy attack near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. The Ukrainian army continues its offensive in the Melitopol sector.
