Russian army strikes Chernihiv region: Energy infrastructure hit
On December 25, Russian forces targeted two villages in the Snovsk community along the Chernihiv region border. In Hirsk, the energy infrastructure suffered damage
Lyubov Plonsak, the senior officer of the Chernihiv border detachment's press service, informed about the shelling, as reported by Suspilne.
Border guards detected three explosions in Yeline village, two likely from FPV drones and one possibly from an attack drone.
There were seven additional explosions near Hirsk, likely originating from a self-propelled artillery installation.
Following this, the Koryukivka district military administration reported that Russian forces targeted Hirsk village's energy structure. The shelling resulted in over two thousand subscribers losing power.
"Energy crews are actively restoring electricity supply, with more than 1,200 subscribers already reconnected," the statement notes.
