"At noon, Nikopol rescuers received a report of a fire caused by shelling. A minibus at a temporary bus stop was on fire. Rescuers started extinguishing it. However, the Russian forces fired again," the statement said.
It is noted that two rescuers received shrapnel wounds and were hospitalised.
A fire and rescue vehicle was also damaged.
In his morning report, the head of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, said that at night Russian occupiers shelled Nikopol and the Marhanetska community with heavy artillery. They fired more than a dozen shells.
"A private house and an outbuilding were damaged," he wrote, noting that no people were injured.
