Russian army seems to be preparing assault on Vuhledar
Russian troops are probably preparing an assault in the Vuhledar area. The Defense Forces commented on the Russian tactics
This was announced by Colonel Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesman for the joint press office of the Armed Forces of the Tavria front.
He reported that the enemy is currently not engaging in active military operations in the Vuhledar direction, which may suggest preparations for a larger-scale attack. Dmytrashkivskyi also stated that he believes the enemy will shift their focus back to the Vuhledar direction after losing significant personnel in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions.
Moreover, Dmytrashkivskyi revealed that the Russian army had launched six air strikes on Vuhledar the previous day, as part of their scorched-earth tactics. This tactic aims to prevent Ukrainian defenders from holding their defense positions by destroying houses, with buildings being demolished "floor by floor" in both Bakhmut and Vuhledar.
