Russian army loses 5 tanks, 12 artillery systems and 770 soldiers per day - General Staff

Ukraine's General Staff stated that the total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to December 4, 2023 are estimated to be:

According to the General Staff in the area of the northern Ukrainian border, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 3 enemy attacks in the area of Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Andriivka and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the occupying Russian forces, who are trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The defense forces successfully repelled 21 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novokalynove and Novobakhmutivka, as well as in the areas of Stepove, Avdiivka, Sievierne and Pervomaisk in Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled an enemy attack near Staromayorske, Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks by the enemy, who tried to regain their lost position in the areas south of Robotyno. Also, Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 enemy attacks in the area of Novopokrovka, Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continued to conduct an offensive in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the invading Russian forces, and depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, keep conducting counter-battery combat, and inflict fire on the enemy's rear.

Russian troops launch a missile attack on Ukraine and release Shaheds

In total, the enemy launched 1 missile strike and 45 air strikes, fired 49 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Last night, the Russian troops launched an air strike against Ukraine using a Kh-59 guided missile and 12 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 10 attack UAVs.

On the night of December 4, the Russian army once again attacked Ukraine using a Kh-59 guided missile and 21 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. 16 enemy drones and the Kh-59 guided missile were destroyed.

The area suffered air strikes: Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region, Spirne, Klishchiivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region and Krynky in Kherson region.

More than 130 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 8 areas of Russian troops' concentration and Pantsyr SAMs

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 8 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 on anti-aircraft missile systems and 2 on enemy ammunition depots.

The missile troops' units struck the enemy's heavy flamethrower multiple rocket launcher system and the Pantsyr anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

• On the night of Monday, December 4, Russian troops attacked Ukraine, launching attack drones and a guided missile. The Air Force's response resulted in the downing of a Russian missile and 18 UAVs.
