Russian Army launches aerial bombs instead of missile strikes - OC South
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination center of Ukraine’s South Defense Forces, says that Russia will continue to attack Ukraine with air bombs because of low efficiency of missile strikes
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination center of Ukraine’s South Defense Forces, reported the information in a comment for Radio Liberty.
"They (Russian troops - ed.) continue to attack with such bombs in the face of the forced continuation of hostilities. The peculiarity is that aircraft can launch them far from the frontline without falling into the area of our air defense, and the bombs themselves reach several tens of kilometers. They are trying to attack the energy sector, critical infrastructure, industry, and agricultural land in this way," said Humeniuk, adding that the bombs have become a danger primarily for the frontline areas of Ukraine.
Thus, according to her, the Russian military strikes directly at mined farmland, which leads to the detonation of mines.
"This becomes a great danger because people start field work and get hit, but in addition, the enemy uses unmanned aerial vehicles with explosive grenades attached and they shamelessly direct them in crowded places," the spokeswoman added.
- Earlier, Humeniuk noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had significantly pushed Russian troops back on the Kinburn Spit, but once every two days they remind of their presence by shelling the Dnipro-Buh Estuary.
