Russian army hides behind Ukrainian children as a human shield when moving equipment - GUR

This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense on Facebook.

"According to residents in the village of Novyi Bykiv (Chernihiv region), Russian soldiers took local children hostage and put them in trucks. The purpose of these actions is to insure a convoy of military equipment on the march. In addition, invaders use children as hostages - as a guarantee that the local population does not give out the coordinates of the invader's movement to the Ukrainian defenders", the message says.

They added that such cases are recorded in Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhya regions.

"Cases of inhuman treatment of children are recorded by the Ukrainian side and international institutions. Information about each of them will be transferred to international criminal courts. The invaders will certainly be held accountable for every war crime committed", the intelligence service assured.
