Russian army has some gains near Synkivka, Kharkiv region - military expert Sniehyriov
Ukraine's military expert Dmytro Sniehyriov noted that the Russian troops have advanced in the area of Synkivka, but the Ukrainian forces keep the dominant heights under control
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The main focus of Russia's efforts are attacks in the area of Synkivka, Lyman Pershyi, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka. The situation in the area of Synkivka is complicated. There have been some Russian advances, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are keeping the dominant heights under control and are successfully using counter-battery fire," emphasized Snegiryov.
According to the military expert, the most combat-ready Russian grouping has been created in the Izium area, which includes up to 120,000 personnel and 1,300 armored vehicles.
"The enemy has a short logistics chain for supplying ammunition and personnel from the territory of the Russian Federation and the occupied Luhansk region. This allows them to intensify their efforts in this area," noted Sniehyriov.
- Denys Yaroslavskyi, AFU unit commander in the Kupyansk direction, said that heavy fighting continues near Synkivka.
- There were 89 combat clashes on the frontline over the last day, and the Defense Forces repelled 31 Russian attacks in the Avdiivka direction.
