Russia tries to capture Synkivka before 2024 — Ukrainian army officer
Denys Yaroslavskyi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces unit in the Kupyansk sector, said that heavy fighting continues in the vicinity of Syinkivka
He said this on Espreso TV channel.
"Heavy fighting continues in the area of Syinkivka. The enemy is trying to capture the settlement before the new year. Several times there was information from Russian military commanders that did not correspond to reality, that the Russian forces had taken Sinkivka. But our guys are standing there and not giving up a single building. Synkivka is a small town, but it is strategic," Yaroslavsky explained.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces unit commander also added that Russia is sending Wagner and Storm-Z troops to storm the positions of the Defence Forces in the area of Synkivka.
"Their methods of warfare have long been familiar to us. They push assault groups forward and then create an echelon defense behind them. To have a place to retreat and bring the ammunition," Yaroslavsky said.
- Many units of the Russian army in the Kupyansk sector have experienced an outbreak of so-called mouse fever. Russian army commanders are ignoring the complaints of the military.
- The commander of the Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that Russian troops are advancing at the Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions to capture new settlements in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
