Russian army does not stop its attacks, despite announced "Christmas truce"
Serhiy Haidai, head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that Russian troops did not stop firing, despite the "Christmas truce" announced by them
Serhiy Haidai stated this live on air of Radio Donbas Realii.
"There were shellings and they continue. There were attempts to attack our positions - so they remain as well," head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration said and added: "I think tomorrow Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff will announce number of shellings and assaults that took place."
Serhiy Haidai believes that by announcing the so-called "Christmas truce" Russia sought to ensure the need for an operational pause. Also, the Russian Federation wants to distort the image of Ukraine in propaganda, as if the country is conducting hostilities on the day of a major religious holiday.
