Russian army again tries to reach Luhansk region border - Gaidai

Head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhii Gaidai shared the news in his Telegram channel.

"The Russian troops tried to reach the border of the Luhansk region from three sides - they retreated everywhere. The land around these settlements resembles a planet with numerous craters - shells fall there almost every minute," he emphasized.

During the last day, July 24, the Russian army fired three rockets, carried out three massive artillery attacks, and two long-term mortar attacks. The Russian army tried to develop tank offensive three more times.

"The Russian army do not abandon their intention to launch an attack on the large cities of Donetsk region, but for now they have "frozen" in our region. They are dying without even seeing the neighboring region. They are attacking from several directions at once, trying to disperse our defenses. They fail: on July 24, they retreated again with losses: in the areas of Verkhnokamyanka - Verkhnokamianske, Belogorivka - Verkhnokamianske and Verkhnokamyanka - Ivano-Daryivka, in Donetsk region," Gaidai noted.

He added that the Russian army not only failed to advance in all these directions, but also did not count the number of fighters who now rested in Ukrainian land.

However, the enemy is shelling populated areas from fighter jets, opening fire from jet and barrel artillery, and is using drones.

"Sixth month, Luhansk region is resisting the Russian invasion. The Russian army were preparing for a short-term war with a quick surrender of Ukraine, but after more than 150 days, they are capturing Bilogorivka, trying to improve their tactical position, and then withdrawing from it.
