Russia will not hold Robotyne. Military expert explains why

This was stated by military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko on Espreso TV.

"The issue with Robotyne is resolved in the short term. The Russians will not be able to hold it. Firstly, a wedge has been broken between Robotyne and Verbove on the left flank. On the right flank, another wedge is also being broken - between Robotyne and Kopani," he said.

The Defense Forces are putting pressure on Kopani from the east and north, which will eventually resolve the issue with this settlement. Oleksandr Kovalenko noted that it is suicide for the Russian troops to stay in Robotyne, as the northern streets are in the gray zone under Ukrainian fire control.

Also on August 17, the flanks in the direction of Dorozhnianka were expanded to test the extent to which Russia could withstand the attack. The bridgehead is expanding.

"If the issue with Robotyne is resolved in the near future, we will finally reach the second line of Russian defense in this location and expand the bridgehead to prepare the conditions for breaking through this main line of defense," the expert emphasized.
