Russia uses record numbers of guided bombs against Ukraine
Russia increasingly uses guided air bombs to attack Ukraine, with their numbers reaching a record of 1,165 in October
Statistics on use of guided bombs by Russian aviation shows that only in one month, Russia dropped 1,165 bombs on Ukraine.
Ukrainian journalist and military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko notes that this is an absolute record since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
At the same time, the record for daily use was also set in October – more than 100 guided bombs were dropped on October 23.
Unfortunately, Ukraine does not currently have the supply of American analogues, which are more reliable, accurate and long-range, in such quantities as to create at least quantitative parity.
The means of countering such strikes, which have also been repeatedly mentioned, are not available in sufficient quantities, if not to say more – they are totally absent.
Unfortunately, the dominance of Russian tactical aviation along the contact line, so far, is one of the main deterrents preventing Ukraine from implementing a number of operations.
Eventually, it will end. In the long run. But Ukraine will lose a lot until this time comes.
- In September 2023, Russia launched 246 missiles and 746 attack drones in their assaults on Ukraine. It also dropped 1,159 guided aerial bombs, many of which targeted civilian areas, including homes, grain elevators, ports, and power plants.
