Pentagon convenes military leaders over Russian NATO threats — analyst
The Pentagon convened over 800 generals from around the world to plan a response to possible Russian aggression against NATO countries
Military analyst Oleksii Hetman spoke about this on Espreso TV.
“The Pentagon chief gathered over 800 generals yesterday. This is linked to Russian provocations near Alaska, provocations in European countries, and the statement by the Russian ambassador to France that if Russian planes are shot down, it would mean the country responsible is at war with Russia. I am confident that such a statement requires an appropriate response,” Hetman emphasized.
According to a military analyst, the Pentagon’s gathering of generals was aimed at planning actions in case of possible further Russian attacks on NATO countries. A press conference will soon clarify the steps the U.S. and NATO will take if Russia violates airspace or international law.
“This is a positive move by the Pentagon, as Russia can be forced to peace only through strength. Russia will stop where it is stopped. It’s good that the U.S. president is beginning to understand this. Even Trump emphasized the concept of peace through strength,” Hetman added.
