ERR reported the information.
Pevkur stated that the White House understands Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin “does not want to negotiate.” He emphasized that U.S. President Donald Trump is not leading these diplomatic efforts personally — the responsibility lies with his team.
“It is clear that the White House realizes Putin will not make concessions. Repeated attempts to bring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Putin to the negotiating table have failed. Looking at the situation in Ukraine, there are no signs of a breakthrough. Rather, with autumn approaching in the U.S., domestic politics is beginning to play a bigger role,” Pevkur said.
