What U.S., Russia, and Ukraine want to achieve in talks
The best negotiator is a well-armed and well-funded Ukrainian Armed Forces and a strong united Ukrainian society
Before the 2019 elections, Russians were convincing Americans that the war continued because of Poroshenko. All that was needed was to stop shooting and look Putin in the eyes. To do this, they needed to change the president. Then, they could successfully buy land and resources in Russia and together with Russia in Ukraine. After that, in Europe, part of which would be controlled by the U.S. and part by Russia. This so-called "partnership for peace," Russian imperialism funded by American oligarchs.
But it didn’t work. The administration in the U.S. changed, and Zelenskyy was afraid of protests against crossing the "red lines."
Now, for Russia, it seems like the perfect moment again. Once more, all they need is to change the president who failed to meet expectations and look Putin in the eyes. But this time, it’s not Ukrainian politicians, whom no one trusts, but Trump who should look Putin in the eyes.
And once again, the problem lies with Ukrainians, who, as the head of the CIA said, are ready to fight with their bare hands. Of course, ready after centuries of genocide!!!
The negotiations in Saudi Arabia look quite strange. Trump wants to reach a peace agreement, the Russians want to be involved but make impossible demands, hoping for a reduction in support for Ukraine from Europe and the U.S. Ukrainians want to show the Americans the dishonesty of the Russians to continue and increase support. Thus, Ukraine is represented by the Minister of Defense—a Crimean Tatar, Russia by an FSB general responsible for subjugating Ukraine, and the U.S. by a PR specialist, a cook, and a costume expert. What can they agree on?
We promise the Americans not to shoot in the Black Sea if the Europeans lift sanctions on us, we promise to uphold the energy truce, but we reserve the right to destroy Ukrainian energy wells, say the Russians.
Just an incredible success of the negotiations!!!
Therefore, the best negotiator is an armed and well-funded Ukrainian army and a strong united Ukrainian society. Not bare-handed.
