West pushes Ukraine to create Plan B for war with Russia - media
The United States and European countries are pushing Ukraine to develop a reliable Plan B for its achievements for the next year of war with Russia
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, according to European Pravda.
It is noted that several American and European officials have visited Ukraine over the past two weeks. Some talks indicate tensions between Kyiv and the West - reconciling the desire to withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine with the military reality on the ground.
“European officials say Kyiv has been told that a complete victory for Ukraine would require hundreds of billions of dollars in support from the West, something neither Washington nor Europe can realistically provide,” the report said.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who arrived in Kyiv on September 11, said his trip was partly aimed at seeing “how Ukrainians see their needs at this moment, what their goals are, and what we can do to support those needs.”
- On Wednesday, September 11, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, her Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenković, and Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil arrived in the Ukrainian capital on visits.
