We are doing everything to prevent Chasiv Yar from being captured — Ukrainian officer

Oles Malyarevych, deputy commander of the 92nd Brigade's Achilles battalion, emphasized the importance of preventing Russian forces from advancing to Chasiv Yar. However, it is an immense challenge, given the lack of parity in forces

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"Our brigade has been in the Bakhmut direction for a long time - Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka. We are doing everything we can to prevent Chasiv Yar from being captured, we are now in active defense. Every day we receive combat missions - destruction, reconnaissance, additional reconnaissance, remote mining and even such an option as delivery by large drones of humanitarian supplies and everything necessary for the defenders to hold on," said the deputy commander of the battalion.

According to him, Russian forces have been actively storming Chasiv Yar for two months now, which is a high point and the most important point that will help them strike at Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka and even reach Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

"We understand that it is very important to prevent the enemy from breaking through to Chasiv Yar, but you can see what is happening. There is definitely no parity, it is very difficult. We can only use our professionalism and less ammunition to do a better job than the invaders do. The ratio of artillery is about 1 to 6, which is what Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi said. In terms of drones, it is about 1 to 2, and the situation has improved in terms of FPV. In terms of bombers, we are ahead, but the occupiers are now actively developing their own invention in this area. As for the reconnaissance wings, the enemy continues to have an advantage, but we have also started using Ukrainian and foreign models to conduct reconnaissance, adjust artillery and plan our own actions," commented Oles Malyarevych.
