A 24-year-old serviceman eliminates Russian APC with a grenade launcher shot

A soldier of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi destroyed a Russian APC with eight soldiers with a well-aimed shot from a grenade launcher. This was reported on the brigade's page.

"The Russian APC was flying at breakneck speed, the driver was probably scared to death. I missed with the first shot - the grenade slipped on the armor. The second time, the Carl Gustaf grenade launcher hit the stern, the vehicle exploded, moved a little and that was it. Then I found out that eight invaders had burned to death in the armored vehicle," recalls Mykola, a 24-year-old soldier from Radomyshl, Zhytomyr region.

The guy has been fighting in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade for only three months, and during this time he has proved himself to be a brave and worthy warrior. He took part in the defense of a Donetsk village.

Ukrnafta launches new productive well, tests new technology

Ukrnafta has launched another well in western Ukraine. Its daily production results have doubled the previous forecasts. This was achieved thanks to the new technology of acid fracturing. This was reported by the company's press service.

"The result is more than twice as high as expected: the well flow rate is 54 tonnes per day instead of 22.6 tonnes per day. Thus, Ukrnafta has received a high flow rate well and, more importantly, a technology to increase production at a particular field," Sergiy Koretsky, CEO of the company, wrote on Facebook.

Ukraine nationalizes Russian oligarch's ship worth about a billion hryvnias

The High Anti-Corruption Court has upheld the claim of the Ministry of Justice to recover the ship of Russian oligarch Alexander Verkhovsky, worth more than UAH 1 billion, for the benefit of Ukraine. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The vessel in question is a large fishing trawler Bukhta Sokolovskaya, which was being completed at a plant in Mykolaiv before Russia's full-scale invasion. The vessel was part of the merchant fleet of the sanctioned oligarch Verkhovsky, who is one of the financial donors to Russia's war against Ukraine.

"The Russian businessman's fishing business allows him to regularly transfer billions of dollars to the Russian budget. From there, these funds are used to arm and logistically support the occupation groups of the aggressor country, which are fighting against the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the Security Service of Ukraine said.

The Netherlands supports Ukraine's right to strike at Russian territory

Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren has said that Ukraine's strikes on targets in Russia should not be a subject of discussion in the European Union, as Kyiv should have the right to do so for its own self-defense. She said this in Brussels before a meeting of EU defense ministers.

Kajsa Ollongren stressed that she has never ruled out the possibility of Ukraine launching strikes inside Russia as Kyiv defends itself and tries to restore its territorial integrity.

"It is quite possible that they will have to strike inside Russia. So, in my opinion, this should not be a discussion. And I also hope that other countries that have a different position will change it," Ollongren said.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense commissions 10 robotic systems this year

Since the beginning of 2024, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved more than 10 domestically produced robotic systems for use in the army.

"Modern technologies, such as drones and ground robotic platforms, help minimize contact with the enemy and protect the lives of the military. Robotics enhances the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the Ministry of Defense said. "Ground robotic platforms are used as weapon carriers and for firing from cover.

Some systems have already successfully passed combat tests and have been highly praised by Ukrainian defenders.

Sweden will provide Ukraine with EUR 56 million energy assistance package

The Swedish government has presented an energy aid package for Ukraine worth SEK 650 million (EUR 56.66 million). This is stated on the website of the Swedish government.

"The new energy support helps to ensure Ukraine's energy supply so that basic social services such as schools, hospitals, transport, water supply and business can continue to function," the government said.

The new energy assistance consists of two parts: €43.58 million will come through the Energy Community's Energy Support Fund for Ukraine, and another €13.07 million will be provided by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

"Russia is increasingly targeting Ukraine's energy system to disrupt vital public infrastructure. To strengthen Ukraine's resilience, we are now increasing support for the energy sector," said Foreign Trade Minister Johan Forssell.
