Spain sends Ukraine 10 Leopard tanks
Spain has begun transferring a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, including 10 Leopard 2A4 tanks, shells, and excavators.
The Spanish Defense Ministry reports.
It is noted that the equipment to be handed over by the Spanish side has been repaired and maintained at the Santa Barbara Sistemas plant in Seville, as well as tested for technical serviceability.
The first stage of transportation from Seville to the city in northwestern Spain, Ferrol, was carried out by land last week, the press service reports. After that, for the second stage of transportation by sea, the aid ship left Ferrol at noon last Saturday, July 13.
The ship is expected to arrive at the Polish port by next weekend. Once in Poland, it will be transported by land to the nearest units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which will then transfer the weapons to the front line, the Spanish Defence Ministry said.
"Appropriate security measures are being taken at all stages of this important movement," the ministry said.
With this batch, the total number of tanks that Spain has transferred to Ukraine has reached 20. The next batch is planned to be delivered in the second half of 2024.
Ukrainian companies lead Europe in monthly production of artillery systems
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Ukraine produces the largest number of artillery systems among all factories in Europe.
He made this statement during a press conference on July 15.
When asked how many Bohdana self-propelled artillery systems Ukraine produces per month, Zelenskyy responded: "Currently, we're producing a substantial number of self-propelled artillery systems Bohdana. Among European factories, our enterprise leads in monthly artillery system production."
Also part of the question was whether Ukraine is developing its long-range weapons.
"We are currently developing other systems that will enhance our long-range capabilities," Zelenskyy added.
Russian forces suffer heavy losses in Toretsk sector

On July 15, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said that the last patrol ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet had left the occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian forces destroy new Russian tank worth $4.5 million
Ukrainian defenders from the 72nd Mechanized Brigade used a drone to destroy the newest Russian tank, the Proryv, which is valued at $4.5 million.

"Our soldiers know how to neutralize millions of dollars. In the video, the pride of the Russian defense industry, the T-90M Proryv tank, worth $4.5 million, detonates after an unexpected encounter with a Ukrainian drone," the brigade's press service stated.
