Macron says France's support for Ukraine has no limits

French President Emmanuel Macron said that French support for Ukraine has "no limits and no red lines." This is reported by La Depeche.

Macron emphasized to party leaders at a joint meeting before the parliamentary vote to discuss Russia's war against Ukraine that there are "no limits and no red lines" for France's support for Ukraine.

Norway to allocate over $150 million for shells for Ukraine

On March 7, Norway announced the allocation of more than $150 million for the purchase of 800 thousand artillery shells for Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, announced this, the government's press service reports.

"Norway supports Ukraine with artillery ammunition both from its own stocks and directly from the industry. Today we have decided to contribute up to NOK 1.6 billion to an initiative organized by the Czech Republic to provide Ukraine with much-needed artillery ammunition as soon as possible," the official said.

Czech President says money for ammunition for Ukraine has been raised

Funding for the purchase of 800,000 rounds of ammunition for Ukraine has been secured. This was reported by the Czech media, citing the country's President Petr Pavel, Dzerkalo Tyzhnia reports.

"As of this morning, we have collected the total amount for the purchase of all ammunition, that is, 800,000 pieces. The Czech side will inform all the participating states about the schedule and how we will proceed," said Petr Pavel. 

The Czech President did not specify the amounts allocated by individual states: "It might be unfair to those states that have contributed if we did not discuss it with them."

Russia reports UAV strike at metallurgical plant

On the morning of Thursday, March 7, a "technological incident" was reported at Russia's largest steel mill, Severstal. This refers to the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works, located in the Vologda region, Russia.

"This morning, a technological incident occurred at CherMK's blast furnace production facility. No one was injured. One of the units has been put out of service for the previously scheduled repair. The causes of the incident are being investigated," Severstal wrote.

Later, Russian media outlets cited the acting governor as saying that a UAV had allegedly hit the plant.

Russian subversive reconnaissance group stopped in Sumy region

On the night of March 7, Ukrainian border guards stopped a group of saboteurs moving from Russia in the Sumy region.

"Last night, border guards from the Ukrainian Defense Forces detected an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group moving from the Russian side. They immediately opened fire on the saboteurs with small arms and grenade launchers," the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported.

According to the State Border Guard Service, the group retreated, and its losses are being clarified.
