He made this statement during a broadcast on Espreso TV.
"It is clear that we are directly dependent on U.S. military aid. If this support stops, we will look at European alternatives—what the French or Germans can provide. However, we must always keep in mind that the U.S. has indirect influence on Ukraine through European countries," Stupak remarked.
According to the military expert, this scenario could become reality if Ukraine relies entirely on European assistance.
"Trump may become outraged and exert indirect pressure on Ukraine through France or Germany, possibly by threatening a 50% tariff on goods from the EU or the UK," Stupak concluded.
- Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin stated that Russia agrees to a ceasefire proposal in Ukraine but insists that it must lead to a lasting peace.
- Meanwhile, Serhii Zgurets, director of the Defense Express media and consulting firm, noted that both Ukraine and Russia will try to use this window of time to strengthen their positions along the front line.
