U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink reacted to the missile strike on Ukraine during the night of April 6 — this time clearly pointing to Russia as the attacker

She wrote about it on X.

"As of 6:30 am, Kyiv and the rest of Ukraine remain under a ballistic and cruise missile attack from Russia.  Loud explosions in the capital and reports of attacks in multiple cities," the ambassador wrote.

As a reminder, on the morning of April 6, an air raid alert was issued across Ukraine as Russia launched cruise and ballistic missiles. Three people were injured in Kyiv, and there’s damage reported in several districts.

  • Earlier, Bridget Brink had commented on the Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, which killed 19 civilians, including children — but at the time, she didn’t name the perpetrator. “Horrified that tonight a ballistic missile struck near a playground and restaurant in Kryvyi Rih. More than 50 people injured and 16 killed, including 6 children. This is why the war must end,” she wrote.
  • President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was disappointed by the US embassy’s earlier response to the Russian strike.
