A NATO official told LIGA.net media outlet that Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Finland, and Canada have committed to purchasing weapons.

“The agreement between NATO Secretary General Rutte and President Trump marks a significant milestone in providing Ukraine with the military resources it needs to defend against Russia. European NATO members and Canada will lead the financing efforts, while NATO will coordinate deliveries, including through the NSATU mission,” the official said.

He also added that NATO expects more countries to join the initiative in the future.

  • On July 14, Senate Majority Leader John Thune announced a delay in new U.S. sanctions against Russia, citing President Trump's plan to act against Russia this summer if Putin doesn't agree to a peace deal.
