Ukrainian troops target 3 Russian air defenses, report 121 battles at frontline

Over the last day, 121 combat engagements took place in the frontline, while Russian terrorist attacks across Ukraine resulted in civilian casualties

Russian attacks across Ukraine

In total, Russian enemy launched 59 missile and 55 air strikes, fired 84 times from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Frontline situation

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 10 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 7 attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, Ivanivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where Russian enemy was trying to improve its tactical position. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled nine attacks in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Novolyubivka and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 10 localities.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 21 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Andriivka, Verkhnekamianske, Novyi, Ivanivske and Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region, where Russian enemy was trying to improve its tactical position. Russian enemy also carried out air strikes near Chasiv Yar, Druzhba and Pivnichne in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 35 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske, Semenivka, Umanske, Netailove and Nevelske in Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions. Russian enemy also launched air strikes near the settlements of Oleksandropil, Novoselivka Persha, Karlivka and Moskovske in Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the Russian army in the vicinity of Kostyantynivka, Paraskoviivka and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defenses of our troops 6 times. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 19 times near Staromayorske, Donetsk region. Russian forces also launched an air strike near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhya region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson sector, the Russian army did not abandon its intention to force Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River, launching an unsuccessful attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Krynky, Kherson region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krynky, Tyahynka, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Stanislav in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation and missile units struck 3 air defense systems, 2 artillery pieces and 8 areas of concentration of Russian personnel.
