Ukrainian troops keep spirits up amid Kostiantynivka front struggles — 157th Brigade
Near Yablunivka in the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukraine’s 157th Brigade is holding back regular Russian assaults, using all available resources to protect infantry and preserve personnel
Major Volodymyr Zakhariv, deputy commander of the brigade’s UAV battalion, shared the information on Espreso TV.
“The battalion is in the Kostiantynivka sector, near Yablunivka. Things are tough here, but we try to find a ray of sunlight in all the darkness and enjoy life. The situation is difficult — the Russians have large numbers of reckless personnel,” Zakhariv said.
According to the major, the battalion is doing everything possible to protect the infantry and use maximum resources to save the lives of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
“The Russian army constantly rotates troops, replenishing units with fresh reserves and regularly organizing ‘meat’ assaults, which we destroy as effectively as possible. But Russian forces keep replenishing with these ‘meat brigades’ and convicts,” Zakhariv added.
- On October 16, the Ukrainian General Staff recorded 178 battles on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with the Russians assaulting Defense Forces positions 55 times in the Pokrovsk sector.
