Ukrainian intelligence conducts large-scale DDoS attack on Russian electronic services
On June 5, cyber specialists of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine launched a large-scale DDoS attack on Russian government agencies and private companies
LIGA.net reports this with reference to a source in the special services.
According to him, the attack disrupted the work of a number of government agencies and private companies.
As of 11:00 a.m., Russian residents didn't have access to the electronic services of the government services website and some services of a number of institutions, including the ministries of defense, finance, interior, justice, industry and energy, information technology and communications, and emergency situations.
In addition, the website and services of the Russian Federal Tax Service were blocked.
For some time, the work of the United Aircraft Manufacturing Company was paralyzed, and there were also malfunctions in the servers of the Russian cloud storage company Gosoblako. In addition, the unified state registry of civil registrars has been down for several days in a number of Russian regions.
