
Ukrainian forces strike Russian Savasleyka airbase, target fighter jets

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.
They stated that the strike on the Russian airbase was carried out by units of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces in coordination with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Russia uses the airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region to strike Ukraine. Specifically, MiG-31K fighter jets, which carry Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, regularly take off from this military facility.
Preliminary information indicates that two Russian aircraft were destroyed in the operation, likely MiG-31 and Su-30/34 jets.
The General Staff added that the results of the combat operation are being clarified.
