Ukrainian forces storm Russian positions around Chasiv Yar - 26th Brigade spokesman

The tactical situation near Chasiv Yar is constantly changing

Oleh Kalashnikov, head of the press service of the 26th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych, said this on Espreso TV.

"The Defence Forces are holding the line in this area. It cannot be said that only Russia is trying to storm. The Ukrainian forces are also storming the enemy's positions, repelling some Russian defensive lines and firing points. That is, the tactical situation is quite dynamic, complicated and constantly changing," Kalashnikov said.

According to him, the Russian army is trying to attack near Chasiv Yar, trying to make the most of its air superiority.

"Today we can see the enemy's intentions in assault actions. The number of Russian guided bombs that the enemy is trying to drop on Chasiv Yar, on the defensive line and positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has increased. The enemy is trying to make the most of its air superiority. The Russian artillery, both cannon and MLRS, is working quite densely and on a regular basis. Now the Russians are trying to put pressure on us anywhere. They are looking for a weakness, trying to push us through, using both infantry units and mechanised components. The enemy is using both heavy armoured vehicles and armoured vehicles. However, the Defence Forces are holding out," added the 26th Artillery Brigade spokesman.
