AFU face encirclement near Kurakhove: Russians spotted in Uspenivka, Veselyi Hai

On Friday, Russian infantry was spotted in Uspenivka and Veselyi Hai in Donetsk region.

“It was very noisy in the area of Uspenivka today, fighting continues. The Russians are reducing the area of the “bag”. We can provide more details only later,” the OSINT group wrote.

These settlements are located to the south of Kurakhove — the “Uspenivka bag” — where the Ukrainian Armed Forces risk being surrounded.

Later, on the night of December 14, DeepState analysts said that Russians had occupied Veselyi Hai, Yelyzavetivka, Romanivka, Novotroitske, and Pushkine. 

• On the evening of December 12, the Donetsk operational and tactical group commander Oleksandr Lutsenko was dismissed from his post.
• Ukrainian forces are stopping Russian attacks near Uspenivka, Hannaivka, Trudove, and Romanivka in the Donetsk region, preventing Russia from capturing or surrounding these areas.
