The Institute for the Study of War reported the information.
“Ukrainian forces launched a new series of battalion-sized mechanized assaults in Kursk Oblast and advanced up to five kilometers behind Russian lines southeast of Sudzha, Kursk Oblast,” ISW reported on the situation on February 6.
Geolocated footage confirms that the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced southwest of Makhnovka, north and east of Cherkasskaya Konopelka - along the 38K-028 Sudzha–Oboyan highway - and also gained control over the settlements of Kolmakov and Fanaseyevka.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded the participants of the Kursk operation, which has been going on for six months. He also talked about its results, emphasizing that during this time Kyiv has significantly replenished the exchange fund.
