Ukrainian forces launch counterattacks near Pokrovsk, UK intelligence reports
UK intelligence reports that Ukrainian forces are carrying out counterattacks near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, as Russian troops intensify pressure on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region from multiple directions
The UK Ministry of Defence has reported that Ukrainian forces are conducting counterattacks near Pokrovsk in Donbas, as Russian troops continue to pressure Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region from the west, north, and east.
British intelligence highlights recent Ukrainian successes, including Special Forces liberating an industrial building and capturing nine prisoners on March 10.
The Ukrainian forces have launched multiple counterattacks around the settlements of Pishchane, Udachne, and Shevchenko, as well as along the T-05-06 logistical route. These counteroffensives have been facilitated by a reduction in Russia's ground offensive operations.
While Russian forces are concentrated near Pokrovsk, the Ukrainian military has weakened their supply lines using FPV drones. Overall, Russian offensives have decreased compared to late 2024 and early 2025, with some international media noting that Russian advances in Donbas have stalled.
- Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi noted that intelligence from the U.S. is only a part of the intelligence information Ukraine receives.
