Ukrainian Forces hold positions in Tavria sector, battles rage near Novomykhailivka

Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Forces, stated.

It is noted that yesterday in the Tavria sector, the Russian army launched 25 air strikes, 3 missile strikes, conducted 53 combat engagements, made 906 attacks and 93 strikes with kamikaze drones.

"Our defenders are steadfastly holding the line and conducting active operations in the designated areas. No losses of borders, districts or positions have been allowed," Tarnavskyi said.

Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesman for the Tavria Defense Forces, told LIGA.net that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently fighting with the Russians on the eastern outskirts of Novomykhailivka near Marinka.

According to him, the number of Russian attacks in this area is often higher than near Avdiivka. Lykhoviy noted that the defense operation is ongoing, fighting is taking place on the outskirts, the invaders have been trying to capture the village for a long time using the tactics of small assault groups.

The spokesman also added that the Russian forces are launching massive artillery and air strikes, as well as actively using FPV drones. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russians. 

Earlier, the Deep State analytical OSINT channel wrote that the Russian troops increased pressure on Novomykhailivka and continue to gain a foothold in the village.

"It will be almost impossible to drive them out of there at this line of contact," the observers said.
