Ukrainian forces hold positions in Krynky despite difficult logistical conditions
Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces, said that Ukrainian troops face logistical difficulties on Dnipro's left bank in Kherson region, but they continue to hold their positions
She spoke about this on Espreso TV.
"There are indeed logistical difficulties for our troops on the left bank of the Kherson region. This is an objective situation. We understand that behind our soldiers' backs are the Dnipro and the floodplains. It is really not easy to create trenches and build a defense line there. However, the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions in Krynky and work on expanding the bridgehead," said Humeniuk.
According to her, the Russian troops lose up to 50-70% of their personnel and equipment after each assault.
"Today Krynky can hardly be called a settlement. However, it is our point of invincibility and the place where we are arranging and expanding our bridgehead. Over the past day, the enemy dared to make only one assault, and it was fruitless for them (Russians - ed.). The occupiers are experimenting with different ways to attack our positions. However, each new attack ends with a 50-70% reduction in their personnel and equipment," she added.
- Over the past day, 94 combat engagements took place at the frontline, Ukrainian troops repelled almost a hundred Russian military offensives in seven key areas and eliminated another 1,110 Russian servicemen.
