Ukrainian forces destroy Russian S-300 missile system in Zaporizhzhia region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

As noted, the operation used long-range firepower to destroy an S-300 surface-to-air missile system belonging to the invading Russian forces.

The General Staff noted that destroying this target significantly reduces Russian long-range firepower and diminishes its ability to shell Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions and civilian infrastructure in the region.

“This strike once again confirms the effectiveness and precision of Ukrainian units in detecting and neutralizing critically important enemy targets, including those on temporarily occupied territories. The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their systematic destruction of key elements of Russia’s military potential, weakening the enemy’s ability to conduct combat operations, maintain illegally occupied territories, and sustain the occupation,” the General Staff emphasized.

Ukraine will continue its fight until the complete withdrawal of the invading Russian forces, restoration of territorial integrity, and establishment of a just and lasting peace.

• The Ukrainian resistance movement Atesh carried out a successful sabotage operation behind Russian lines, targeting a railway line in the temporarily occupied Kherson region and disrupting Russian rail logistics along the Zaporizhzhia axis.
