Partisan sabotage disrupts Russian rail logistics in occupied Zaporizhzhia
The Ukrainian resistance movement “Atesh” carried out a successful sabotage operation behind Russian lines, targeting a railway line in the temporarily occupied Kherson region and disrupting Russian rail logistics along the Zaporizhzhia axis
Atesh’s press service reported the operation, stating: “An Atesh agent operating deep behind enemy lines sabotaged the railway between the settlements of Safonove and Novooleksiivka in occupied Kherson. This section is critical for transporting military cargo toward the Zaporizhzhia front.”
The sabotage damaged a relay cabinet, disrupting railway infrastructure and causing a temporary halt and delays in the delivery of military cargo and fuel headed toward Melitopol—a key logistics hub for Russian forces.
The resistance movement emphasized: “Timely delivery of supplies is crucial for maintaining the combat readiness of Russian units. Any disruption undermines their operational stability. Targeted strikes on vulnerable infrastructure elements help slow down supply chains and sow chaos in the enemy’s rear.”
- As of July 25, Russian forces have made advances deeper into Ukrainian territory in settlements in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
